Last updated: March 22, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the STÜFF application at stuff.guru and the website at stuff.services (collectively, the "Service"), operated by CultureMakers ("we," "our," or "us"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using STUFF, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

2. Account Registration

To access certain features, you must create an account using a valid email address or Google authentication. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service.

Guest mode allows temporary access without an account. Guest data is not saved after the session expires and we are not responsible for data loss in guest mode.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for its intended purpose: household inventory management, shopping list creation, meal planning, and related household management activities. You agree not to:

4. Subscriptions and Payments

Free Tier: Basic features are available at no cost, subject to item and room limits as described in the app.

Paid Plans: The Full App ($4.99 one-time) and VIP ($25.99/year) plans offer expanded features. Payments are processed securely through Stripe. Prices are subject to change with reasonable notice.

VIP Subscriptions: VIP subscriptions renew annually unless cancelled before the renewal date. You can manage or cancel your subscription through the Stripe customer portal accessible from your account settings.

Refunds: One-time purchases (Full App) are non-refundable except where required by law. VIP subscriptions may be cancelled at any time; access continues until the end of the current billing period.

5. AI Assistant (Alfred)

Alfred is an AI-powered assistant that provides recipe suggestions, restocking recommendations, and household management tips. Alfred's suggestions are generated by artificial intelligence and should not be considered professional nutritional, medical, or financial advice. You are responsible for verifying any information provided by Alfred, including recipe safety, allergen information, and product recommendations.

Free tier users receive 25 AI requests per month. VIP users receive unlimited requests.

6. Community Marketplace

The community marketplace allows users to share near-expiry items with nearby users. By listing items, you confirm that the items are safe, not recalled, and accurately described. We do not guarantee the quality, safety, or accuracy of items listed by other users. All marketplace transactions are between users; we are not a party to these exchanges.

7. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, code, branding, logo, and content, is owned by CultureMakers and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. The STÜFF name, barcode logo, and associated branding are trademarks of CultureMakers. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the Service without our written permission.

8. Data and Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your information.

9. Service Availability

We strive to keep the Service available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may temporarily suspend the Service for maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control. We are not liable for any loss or inconvenience caused by downtime.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CultureMakers and its founder, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. This includes, without limitation, damages for loss of data, loss of profits, food spoilage, or reliance on AI-generated suggestions.

Our total liability for any claim arising from the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $50, whichever is greater.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless CultureMakers from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of another party.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for violation of these Terms or for any other reason with reasonable notice. You may delete your account at any time through your account settings or by contacting us.
